About the Product
Complementing the ever-popular AM model that is part of the Carver family and is best suited for longer turns, the CI set can be combined with a variety of CI models and is designed for fast, tight turns.
Overview
The vertical nature of this model promotes tighter turns, making it a real force in strong, hollow waves and when performing vertical turns. However, it's also well-suited for conditions where you need immediate starting speed from takeoff. The fin's full, robust profile from base to tip allows surfers to push hard while still having the freedom to turn easily.
“We designed the CI Upright because our surfboard lineup stretched well into the hybrid and step-down categories, and we needed a fin to maintain responsiveness and rotational performance on our boards where the rocker was a bit more relaxed and flat.”
"This fin allows you to gain momentum and initial acceleration very quickly, but still feel loose and free on top. Many of our team riders also gravitated to this fin on their shortboards and high-performance step-ups, where they wanted less drag and the ability to stay in the pocket." - Brit Merrick
A collaboration with Channel Islands Surfboards, the CI Upright is designed for speed and tight turns.
A model that comes to life in hollow and strong waves, but can also adapt to conditions where you need starting speed to move forward.

Performance Center
Performance Core (PC) fins are manufactured using a multi-layer resin transfer molding process. The flex pattern on PC fins progressively extends from base to tip, helping the surfer maintain direction and stability during a turn. This versatile material is lightweight and can be used in a variety of conditions.
