About the Product

The Neutrino is Daniel Thomson's newest surfboard for Firewire , combining the Modern Planing Hull concept with a high-performance hybrid design designed to deliver the sensation of a true skateboard in the ocean. Inspired by the iconic Nano model, launched in 2008/2009, the Neutrino maintains the wide, straight-cut tail, one of the lowest-drag geometries ever developed, which allows for symmetrical and efficient release of water, resulting in more speed and fluidity in small waves, where speed generation is essential.

Main features

Measurements: 5'08" x 19 3/4" x 2 5/8" – Volume: 33.33L

The bottom features Tomo's exclusive Quad-In-Single-Concave, which provides lift and reduces water drag, ensuring faster surfing and a feeling of freedom. Tomo's signature ultra-parallel outline allows for shorter boards without losing rail length, offering immediate response, consistent drive, and an easy rail-to-rail transition. The wide nose favors paddling and wave entry while reducing swing weight for greater control during fast lip maneuvers.

The Neutrino stands out for its versatility: it performs excellently in small waves and maintains its full performance in medium waves up to double overhead, combining the volume and power of a larger board in a compact and responsive design. The bottom contour balances drive, speed, and safety, making it an ideal board for surfers seeking premium performance in a variety of conditions.

Built with Firewire's I-Bolic 2.0 technology, the Neutrino integrates an I-beam core with rail flex control through high-density foam, ensuring strength, speed, and immediate response. The new version adds even more robustness with the inclusion of a strategically placed carbon strip on the lower deck, combining precision engineering with modern aesthetics.
